I absolutely love this head unit. Calling it just a "radio" doesn’t do it justice—it’s the true control center for your truck.Review: I recently installed the Eonon GMX6S2 head unit in my truck, and it completely brings the 2007–2013 GMT900 platform into the modern era.Fit, Finish, and Integration: The physical integration is absolutely flawless. It sits completely flush and looks identical to a high-end factory option, like it was always supposed to be there. What impressed me most was the CAN-bus system integration. It perfectly retains all factory steering wheel controls, door chimes, and display info. In fact, it gives you more data than the original factory radio, like showing exact door-open graphics on the screen. Volume control and track skipping work effortlessly across stock functions and apps like Spotify.Performance & Features: The screen quality is gorgeous and sharp. This head unit essentially becomes the command center of the truck. Because it runs full Android, you aren't restricted to basic mirroring; you can download any application or APK directly from the Google Play Store. The inclusion of a dedicated SIM card slot for independent cellular data without relying on your phone's hotspot is a massive win.The IO expandability is top-tier. I have both front and rear cameras running into it smoothly, and just for fun, I've used the HDMI and USB inputs to hook up a mini Nintendo Entertainment System on the dash. Sound quality is already a noticeable upgrade from stock, and I anticipate it will sound even better once I hook up the companion Eonon amplifier.Early Verdict & Observations: If you want a premium dashboard upgrade that blows the competition out of the water, this is it. My only note for heavy power users is that if you push the unit hard with heavy multitasking, like running wireless CarPlay while simultaneously handling background diagnostic apps, you can experience a bit of screen lag.Overall, it's a phenomenal radio.
